It was such a pleasure working with so many talented vendors on Empowering The Capable Bride. What started as an easy way to help clients get to know potential vendors also turned out to be a way for other vendors to get to know each other as well. The event, which was held on Thursday, June 26, 2018 at Glen Island Park in New Rochelle turned out lovely, with stunning pictures to show for it.
We played to our outdoor venue and set up a beautiful in the park. Our vendor team of 15 spent the day preparing to let our guests explore a wedding-styled photo shoot. It was an opportunity to showcase the vast talent of each vendor down to the very last detail. Once guests arrived, they were able to check out the finished set up and connect with the vendor team. Two of our guests even had a similar color scheme that provided them with ideas for their own reception design!
As part of the event, we had the privilege of speaking with Rebecca Borrero from The Time Hotel in Nyack, NY. We asked Rebecca to share a few tidbits about The Time.
What makes The Time Nyack different from other hotels?
The Time is unique in its design as a boutique property. Currently the only boutique hotel in Rockland, the vibe and feel transports you to a different New York
How do The Time and BV Grill work together?
The Time and BV’s work together to bring a united vibe to all guests, and to keep the synergy flowing. I handle the hotel accommodations and the events team handle the venues.
Tell us about the food: what kind of food do you cater, are their set menus or are they customizable, and how do we get in on a tasting?
Menus are set.
What about your bridal suites? How many of my bridesmaids can fit in there?
The hotel offers two main types of suites, our Timeless Suite and our Balcony Suite. Both accommodate two guests.
What suggestions would you give to couples looking for a reception venue?
Choose a venue that reflects the image you have for your wedding. Keep to the theme.
