So, tell us about yourself?
I would define myself as a practical romantic. I realize life’s not always a pretty story, but when it is, I love to indulge in the happiness of the moment. As a certified project management professional (PMP), I worked for many years at Microsoft, and I use that corporate training to make me a better wedding planner. In addition to my certification as a project manager, I'm also a certified wedding and event planner (CWEP).
What got you interested in wedding planning?
Watching my friends get married and see how much help they really needed. I’ve also always been sort of the default event planner for my friends and family. Planning is not for everyone, but I both enjoyed it and excelled at it. After a few recent life events, I decided to take the plunge and make this a full-time service offering.
What does wedding planning really involve?
At it’s heart, a love of details. From the moment you’re engaged, to the moment you say “I do” and beyond, you have to be aware of the impact of each decision on yourself and your family. Beyond the details, you’ll also need the ability to delegate and the tenacity to follow up with everyone involved in making the wedding come to life.
How do you pick your clients?
My clients pick me!
What is the most important advice you share with brides?
Be kind to yourself. A wedding is a fantastic way to share your love story, but it’s not the whole story. Start your journey together the right way.
At what point in the wedding planning process should brides start working with you?
As soon as you’re engaged, feel free to reach out to discuss your needs for your wedding. My goal is to help make the entire process easier, so the sooner we start, the easier I can make it.
What makes The Capable Bride a unique wedding planning service?

What’s the best part of your job?
Have you ever heard the expression “I love it when a plan comes together?” That’s how I feel about wedding planning. Watching everything unfolding as it’s been envisioned is very satisfying. Having a bride and groom enjoy their wedding day in a care-free way is why I wanted to be a wedding planner.
What’s the worst part of your job?
No comment, lol.
Why will your clients love working with you and your team?
To know me is to love me, lol. That also goes for my team. As long as you’re okay with a chronic giggler, a logical thinker, a lover of helping, and a strategic problem solver, we’ll have a lot of fun getting to your dream event.
